You know how you have those things on your to-do list that get bumped every day, then a week, then a month and somehow it evolves into close to a year… well that’s been this blog. I’ve put it on each month in my Powersheets and My Blueprint Year – more times than at this point I even care to admit.
That said, 2019 was off to a rocking start with 10 weddings in the first half of the year. And well, clients come first.
But here we are in July, the half-way mark of the year and I’m prioritizing this neglected area of my business. Hilarious that as I went for my run this morning and cued up the latest Goal Digger release today by Jenna Kutcher and it was “Why Your Business Needs a Blog” – okay, okay world. I get it. Let’s gooooooo.
So you might be asking – who are you?
If you’re new to SoiréeSmith – I’m Andrea (a Canadian gal living in a North Shore World). I’m a wife to Patrick (a handsome & frequently traveling spouse) and mama to a (presently) 4-year-old little girl, and 2-year-old little boy – living in Winnetka. Life is full but very lovely.
I started SoiréeSmith in 2017 after (too long to admit) in the luxury hotel world, and then with an established
events firm in the city.
So what’s this blog going to cover?
My mission and purpose for starting SoiréeSmith was and remains to help connect & support my local community of both families and event partners through the planning of celebrations. Shop Local on steroids if you will. And now I want to expand this not just from physical events, but in the digital space as well.
You’ll find a little bit of everything here:
- Party ideas
- Featured weddings by SoiréeSmith
- Local events & life going on in the North Shore
- What I’ve learned in business
- Personal posts
- Fashion Friday Features
- Wedding planning advice
- and what I am most excited about – our profile series on other North Shore businesses
So I hope you’ll pop-in (and help hold me accountable to posting on the regular). And leave a comment letting me know what YOU would like to hear about from me.
xo Andrea
