They could have never talked again – after their first connection, Molly had given Matt the wrong number. It’s safe to say fate played its hand and something told her to go back and check.

Molly grew up in Winnetka and spent her teen years swimming and hanging out at Michigan Shores Club. Such a special place would serve as the perfect backdrop for where they would say “I do” in the presence of their closest family and friends.

We woke up that day to rain however, it quickly cleared and later that morning the sun came out for this sweet couple. Following a beautiful Catholic ceremony, Molly & Matt made a photography stop at Elder Lane Beach. There they captured absolutely STUNNING photos out on the pier as a fog rolled in off the lake.

Back at Michigan Shores Club, guests were invited to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the dining room and East porch, followed by a beautiful dinner and dancing (to the amazing sounds of Front of House) in the Stone Ballroom & Canterbury Room. The setting moved Molly to tears during their sneak peek of the ballroom just before we let guests in.

Decor wise, we kept the focus on seasonal and timeless floral elements, and leaned into the combination of the blue found just outside the club’s lakeside views, all while layering in the creamy whites, and greens, and the small pop of pink in the garden roses and peonies found in garden’s in early June.

Thank you to the wonderful vendor team who brought this wedding to life:
